The Journey is led by a group of elders who work alongside the congregation in providing direction for the church.
Gary lives in Lisburn with his wife Kathryn and their seven children. He has been preaching God’s word for over fifteen years across many denominations and overseas in a missionary context. He holds a Bachelor of Divinity degree and a Master of Theology degree from Queen’s University. Gary planted The Journey Church in September 2012. His passion is to see people treasuring Jesus above everything else in life. Gary enjoys watching all kinds of sport and he has been a supporter of Everton FC from his youth.
David grew up in Lisburn, where he now lives with Jenny his wife and two daughters, Ellie and Sophie. He has been involved in many different aspects of church and mission work and has particular experience working with children and youth. David has a Business degree from University of Ulster, and currently runs his own business in Lisburn. He has a real passion for the local church and what it can accomplish. David enjoys, spending time with his family, eating out, particularly catching up with friends over food or coffee.
Sam came to faith in Christ at the age of 15 and has been on an amazing journey with God ever since. He has previous experience in serving as a deacon and a youth leader for many years, and takes a keen interest in missionary work. Sam is married to Elaine and they have a daughter and son who are both married. They also have two granddaughters and one grandson. When time permits, Sam is a keen golfer and has an interest in sport generally.
